KING Frederick John Job We are fortunate to have had such a dignified and gentle man as the leader of our family. Fred passed away at Lion's Gate Hospital April 23, the same hospital where he was born October 7, 1922. Fred was predeceased by his true love, Annie Knox, to whom he was married for 43 years, by his two brothers; William and Ronald, and by his son-in-law, Ian Bruce MacLeod. Fred was a first class man and an ethical insurance agent. He began his career with the Royal Insurance Company and retired in 1980 after 40 wonderful years. Fred is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth MacLeod (Larry Gordon), and his two granddaughters, Lindsay (Matthew Dukowski), and Sarah (Matthew Gosden), and brother-in-law, Thomas Knox. Fred loved his great-granddaughter Daphne. They always had a secret smile for each other. He had a wonderful friendship with Olive Storey who loved Fred to the very end. Penny Thomas and Susan Knox were close to Fred and the family appreciates the support and love they showed him. A very special thank-you to the wonderful staff at Hollyburn House for their kindness and compassion over the past two years. Fred will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, and love for his family. There will be a family celebration for Fred. Donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation. Cheers Fred!
