Hello Ursula and Sjur,
What a thrilling life you have led. My husband Mike and I have also been nomads. His is the Chief Operating Officer of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service. His organization runs the military exchanges on Army and Air Force installations. We lived two years in Munich, Germany. I went to law school at the Ludwig Maximilian Universitat for a year. My husband also lived about 8 months in Turkey while I was finishing law school in San Antonio, Texas. I grew up in Mexico, Europe, and Tunisia.
A genealogy of the family would be wonderful. I have been working on my American side, but have not had the ability to work on the Norwegian because of language limitations. A very kind man on the internet gave the information that I used to link our family to yours and Peters. There are or might be some other Kindseths in California. My grandmother's brother Erling lived in Redlands, California and he had two sons that I remember as being Bobby and Jimmy. They, of course, carried the family name of Kindseth. My guess is that Bobby and Jimmy would be in their sixties. My grandmother's brother Graham Kindseth had only one son, he was named Paul, and last I heard he was also living in California. Most of the rest of the Kindseths are in Minnesota. Is Kindseth a common name in Norway? I visited Kindseth.com. Would it be better to send messages that way?
My husband and I visited Santa Barbara in 1997. It is beautiful, you are fortunate to live there.
Best regards, Karen
