Charles Frederick Kindred

Charles Kindred, 81, left us on June 27, 2009. He was born on November 1, 1927, in Auburn, WA, and was raised in Belfair. He served in the Army and was stationed in occupied Japan. In 1950, he married Lois Clark of Shelton, and they made their home in Belfair. He worked for the Mason County Highway Department until his retirement in 1980.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Myrl; father, Theodore; brother, Ted; sister, Twila; and son, Merle. He is survived by his wife, Lois; daughters, Jessie Kindred of Bremerton and Stacy Kindred of Shelton; grandson, Charles "Criss" Kindred (Crystal); and great-grandson, Anthony.
A memorial potluck will be held on Wednesday, July 8th, at 2 p.m. at Belfair State Park. Flowers may be sent to Jessie Kindred, 6116 Kitsap Way Apt #23, Bremerton, WA, 98312. An online memorial may be viewed at www.lewischapel.com.
