Hello Wilma and Sheryl,
I'm very interested in your comments to one another. Sorry Wilma, I don't have any info concerning slaves, and have just started my ancestry searce with the help of an aunt. Martha Ann Kindle b July 1867 was my great-grandmother. Parents were Hugh L. Kindle b 1849 d 1920 m Winford Sofronie. Hugh's parents were Lewis Franklin Kindle b 1829 m Lucy Ann Fisher b 1832 Lewis' parents were George Kindle b 1790 d 1855 and Eve Broyles b 1792 d 1852 (ancestry.com states George owned many slaves) Parents of George were William Kindle b Oct 1755 d 1859 m Elizabeth Webb.
If either of you have any other information, please let me know. My side of the family went to James Town, Texas with Martha Ann Kindle Fisher. I'm interested in anything that could prove George to Lewis to Hugh L. Kindle. Thanks, Vicki Thomas
