Hello! After noticing the many posts about the Kindle family in Ohio, I decided that this might be a good place to ask questions and, hopefully, get some answers. I'll try not to make this too confusing...lol
I am searching for information on Jackson Andrew Kindle, my great-grandfather. I'll share what I have - maybe that will help. He was a truck farmer who lived near Ada, Ohio. I'm not sure of his birthdate, but I do know that he died around 1916. His second wife (my great-grandmother) was Rena Johnson Kindle and they attended the County Line Church of the Brethren. Jackson had 6 sons - Edward, Jake, George, Ross (by his first wife - name unknown), Walter, and Clarence (my grandfather). After Jackson's death, Rena moved to Troy, Ohio in Miami County with my grandfather and Walter.
My grandfather refused to talk about his childhood - he was sent to live with a foster family after Rena died in 1918 - it was sometime after that when my grandfather changed the spelling to Kindell. I wish I had more, but I have only found this out since my grandfather's death this year.
My husband and I are planning a trip to the Kindle Cemetary in the near future to do some research - this is where my great-grandfather is buried. I would really appreciate any other information, if possible.
I hope I haven't confused you too much!
Thanks so much...
