Hi- this message was posted in 1998 regarding Gilbert & Clayton.
Gilbert b abt 1805 in NJ mar. Hannah Bates
3/3/1831 in Glo. Hannah's mother was Elizabeth (Holmes)Bates. Gilbert & Hannah had 4 ch.
Benj.abt 1831
Clayton Brooks b 5/8/1833 in Waterford Works,NJ
Jane abt 1835
Gilbert, Jr. abt 1837.
The family moved to Jay county, Penn Twp.,IN abt 1850 & Gilbet, Sr.died abt 1865. After moving to Ind. family changed spelling to Kendall. also have a little more abt family in Ind.

I found info abt. Gilbert & Hannah in Burlington public library under Marriages 1795-1876 Also at Haddonfield His.So. records a Gilbert was bapt. 1/27/1833
Clayton & Benj. (Claten) were also bapt. at Haddonfield 1st Baptist ch., but I don't have the date. can be found in Vol. 1 page 48,
