Dear Claude,
being an European Kinder (although temporarily living in the USA), I am very much interested in your research. My nationality is Croatian and all my ancestors back to early 19th century had Croatian names (Mijo, Josip, Vjekoslav, Gabrijel and, my father, Ivan). I had a possibility to trace my roots just to early 19th century, because the older books in the church of my ancestors (St. Ivan church in the village of Cerje, 20 km from Zagreb) were burnt during the World War II. However, I do believe that my older ancestors most probably had come to Croatia from northern parts of Europe. Your research could possibly give me a clue where had they come from.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Colonel of CAF, Ivica Kinder (36)
