Anyone else researching the ancestry and/or the descendants of John KINCH and his wife, Ann CRAMPTON?
John KINCH was born in Ireland (county unknown) about 1799. He is located in Ramsay Township, Lanark County, Ontario in 1861. He died 17 Feb 1865 in Lanark County and was buried in St. Johns Anglican Cemetery in Innisville. Information on John's parents and siblings is unknown.
Ann CRAMPTON was born about 1800/1803 in Ireland. She was living with her husband in 1861. She died 08 Jul 1867 in Lanark County and then was buried in St. Johns Anglican Cemetery in Innisville as well. Information on Ann's parents and siblings is unknown.
Their known children are (1) Jane KINCH (born 1833; died 1908) who married Edward JAMES; (2) Alexander KINCH (born abt 1836; died 1883) who married Mary (unknown maiden name); (3) Edward KINCH (born abt 1838; died 1899) who married Susanna POOLE; and (4) Ann Jane KINCH (born about 1848; died 1908) who married John MC LAREN.
Jane KINCH and her husband, Edward JAMES, had the following children: (1) Sarah Jane JAMES; (2) William Edward JAMES; (3) Albert Benjamin JAMES; (4) Elizabeth A. JAMES; (5) Mary Rebekah JAMES; (6) Isaac E. JAMES; and (7) Henry Mark JAMES.This family left the Lanark County and ultimately settled in Wright County, Minnesota.
Alexander KINCH and his wife, Mary, had the following children: (1) Elizabeth KINCH; (2) J. Melsin KINCH (unsure of this name); (3) Anna Jane KINCH; (4) Albert KINCH; (5) Sarah Ellen KINCH; and (6) Mary Marie KINCH.
Edward JAMES and his wife, Susanna POOLE, had at least two children: (1) Ida Elizabeth KINCH; and (2) Annie Jane KINCH. These daughters moved to Michigan after 1881.
Ann Jane KINCH supposedly married John MC LAREN about 1871 in Lanark County, Ontario, Canada. Not sure if there were any children. Ann died on 27 Apr 1908 in Smith Falls, Lanark, Ontairo, Canada.
Would enjoy hearing from other researchers who are also working on this family. Thank you.
