In two trips to Ireland for research, I have found no information regarding Francis Kincannon/Concannon. I have searched records at the Public Records of Northern Ireland (PRONI), the Ulster American Folk Park library, the library of the Presbyterian Church, the Dublin public library, and other sources. At all of them I was told the same thing: there are almost no records still in existence from the early 1700's. The book that you mentioned may be THE STORY OF THE CONCANNONS by Maureen Concannon O'Brien. She lives in Dublin, and I can give you her address if you are interested. When she wrote the book, she was not aware that members of the family had gone to America in the 1700's. You might be interested in checking this website: http://members.aol.com/chiefstorm/gen/oth-c525.htm for postings regarding the Concannons. If you have e-mail, contact me at <kincanon@gte.net> to correspond further.
