Dear Sharon:

I just saw your follow up message. I have been researching Susan Kimpton and John Kitchner for the last two years and haven't been able to find out too much about them in their early years. I knew John was a german brickmaker and he and Susan lived on Clinton St. with two children and apparently two borders around 1865 in Saratoga Springs, NY. If you can add anything about Susan or John, I would truly appreciate it. Our family has not been able to go beyond 1835. We also cannot find out where in Germany John came from or what port of entry into the US. The first trace of John we found was in the 1865 census. We haven't been able to find any other relative of his in the country at that time either, yet we know that he must have been very young when he entered the US. I have a copy of his immigration papers but they shed no light. Thanks again, Debbie.
