My Grandmother was born an Albany Kimmey, one of 12. We were raised believing it is a dutch not german name. My great-grandfather was named Harold Kimmey. He married Marguerite Bernard Williams. They had 12 children in the Albany county area. I'm not even sure there are very many left of that generation. My grandmother died in 1990. My Greatgrandfather also had a sister I know of as Ida who I believe never married. Any one of the 12 would know for sure. I think only 3 are still alive and one of them lives in Mass. The other two are still in Albany.

Good Luck
