I would give anything to be able to tracee this family, what happened to Rebecca, etc. Rebecca married in 1826 a William Branson (Brannon, Branham) Son Pleasant moved to Alabama, working on that line

JOHN KIMBROUGH'S WILL

In the name of God Amen. I John Kimbrough of the County of Jefferson and State of Tennessee though weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for his mercies--and knowing that it is allotted for all men to die--I give and bequeath my soul to God who gave it me--and my body to the dust from whence it came in hopes of a joyfull and glorious resurection--as for my worldly affairs I give and bequeath in manner and form following--First it is my desire that all my debts shall be punctually paid. "2ndly" I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Rebecca all of my property, areal and personal during her widowhood. If she should marry again she is to have an equal shear with my children - six in number. Namely, Levi, Susannah, Mary, Plaesant, Nancy, & Marget--and lastly I do constitute and appoint Duke Kimbrough and John Kimbrough my Executors of this my last will and testament revoking all former wills and testaments made by me acknowledging this and this only to be my last will and testament. In witness hereof I have set my hand and seal. Tenth day of December. In the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Twenty One. John Kimbrough (seal). In the presence of us. Nicholas Davis (seal); Jesse Kimbrough (seal).

Jefferson County, March Sessions, 1822. The last will and testament of John Kimbrough, Dec'd, was duly proven in open court by the oaths of Nicholas Davis and Jesse Kimbrough two of the subscribing witnesses to the same and recorded. Joseph Hamilton, Clerk
