Kimbrough Army Ring on E-bay Site

I just came across the following ring on the Hess Fine Arts Auction and thought it might hold family history value for someone on this site. I am not a Kimbrough and have nothing to do with the E-bay site. It does have an October 29 deadline.

WWII Size 7 10K White & Yellow Gold Army Armco Ring. This is military ring from WWII made of white and yellow gold. It's quite small for a man at a size seven, so could possibly have been a ladies ring. On the top is a round yellow gold emblem which says ARMCO with a triangle behind it and stars and x's decorated around it. On each side of the silver band is the resemblance of a bird, probably an eagle. On the inside are the initials R.N. Kimbrough.
