Kimbrough's seem to be a hard family to research. Did you look at the 1805, 1807, 1821, 1827, 1832 land lotteries out of Georgia? They might shed some light on where they were and why the went there. Also, look at the Rev. War pension and bounty land warrants. Georgia was settled by quite a lot of Rev War soldiers that were given land in GA for their service in the war. I found the following, but don't know if it helps.

Death date: 01 Feb 1924
Estimated death year:
Age at death: 54 years
Death place: Fort Valley, Houston, Georgia, United States

Race or color (expanded): White

Spouse's name: Nellie Kimbrough
Spouse's titles:

Digital GS number: 4179254
Image number: 00788

Hope this helps.
