Kimbrough's seem to be a hard family to research. Did you look at the 1805, 1807, 1821, 1827, 1832 land lotteries out of Georgia? They might shed some light on where they were and why the went there. Also, look at the Rev. War pension and bounty land warrants. Georgia was settled by quite a lot of Rev War soldiers that were given land in GA for their service in the war.
