Kimberling family in Virginia 1700s.

Hoping someone would care to help me out with some very confusing and frankly contradictory findings about my KIMBLERLING ancestors. Specifically I have an ancestor named Elizabeth KIMBERLING (or KIMBERLIN, KIMBERLAIN, etc, etc.) - she married John PERSINGER 1778 in Boutetort Co, VA. Probably born in the 1750s ?, although I've never seen any evidence for her actual date of birth or death. The first confusing point is that there was allegedly another Elizabeth KIMBERLING who married nearly the same time to a Jacob Godfrey PERSINGER - believed to be a half brother to my John. Next, I've heard of the following Father for my Elizabeth - Jacob Palser, Jacob & Palser KIMBERLING. Next, I have two different Mother's alleged to have married a Jacob KIMBERLING - both with similar first names: Mary Magdalene RHINEHART & Maria SCHMULTZHAF. Can anyone shed some light on the Kimberling families of 1700s Virginia? - Thanks in advance, Allan Griffith, Bloomington, IL, USA - currently preferred Email:
