I'm not certain if the Fanny Johnson who married Joseph Kimberling is a second daughter Fanny for Benj. Johnson or whether there is some confusion, however Benjamin Johnson had a daughter by his FIRST wife, Agnes Johnson, (yes, her maiden name) who married JAMES Kimberling. According to deeds in Campbell Co., Va. this was NANCY Johnson and Benjamin's daughter Fanny (also by Agnes) married Samuel Craig. While the clerk who wrote the deed could have made a mistake, the same names are written legibly and repeatedly and in several deeds, as I recall. Nancy was born at least by 1789 as she was married by 1805. They were all living in Mason Co., Va. in 1808. They appear to be gone from Mason Co., by 1810 as the Nancy who appears in the census is too old to be Nancy Johnson and no James Kimberling appears (or he has died and she has remarried).

I hope this helps someone. Now, is anyone here researching Benjamin Johnson?
