1. we till don't have Thos. who marries Roby Searle 1835 in Providence, connected clearly to Thomas & Helen(Whalley. I have no real evidence that he was Thos.' son. Do you have any othger than that Thos. II shows up in Providence?
2. William H. b. 1838; we seem to have him as a clerk in the Boston 1860 census, then as a RR contractor in Maine in the 1870 census residing with his inlaws the Coxes; we also have him potentially listed in NYC in 1890 in the furniture business. This doesn't quite seem to follow. It isn't likely that he would go from RR contractor to furniture business, UNLESS he inherited the business from Thomas I (m. Helen Whalley) when he died; do we know when Thomas I died or anymore about his furniture business? He had a factory in Cuba, I believe (my mother is the source of this. I would like to tighten up this information somehow...
3. William, you mention a 'John D. Kilvert' b.c. 1870 in OH; when did you get this information from? It would make sense that he was named after his grandfather - John Dun; but I have never heard him mentioned before...
4. Jean Kilvert: you had a note saying there was a 'Jean Kilvert' who died in Dresden Germany in the 1880's? This would fit in with my mother's account that the family went to Germany for awhile; but I have no information on where they were or when or why. Do you have anymore information on Jean? When she was born/died/where she attended school, etc.? Also any information on why Smauel Whalley K. was in Germany & where?
Any thoughts???
Madeleine
