LILLY KILVERT - PRODUCTION DESIGNER, HOLLYWOOD, USA.
Elizabeth(Lilly) Kilvert was born in Providence, Rhode Island in the late 1940's and is the second daughter to Charles Alexander and Margaret(Peggy)Kilvert of Providence R.I.
She was also raised in Providence R.I. but later attended Bard College in New York, where she studied art, physics and photography and on graduation, she became a commercial photographer.
She became interested in set design while she was building sets for magazine layouts and so, to learn the finer points of drafting and rendering, she enrolled in the Lester Polakov School for Theater Arts.
The first film she worked on was "Alambrista", directed by Robert Young on which she did set design, as well as wardrobe, makeup, painting and special effects makeup.
After working on small films in New York for seven years, She moved to Los Angeles to work on more mainstream features.
Her credits include:-"The Sure Thing"; "To Live and Die in LA"; "Ruthless People"; "Surrender"; "Worth Winning"; Late for Dinner"; "I Love You to Death"; "Strange Days"; "Jack the Bear"; "In The Line of Fire"; "The American President"; "The Oval Office"; "City of Angels"; "The Crucible"; "The Siege" and "Legends of the Fall", where she was nominated for an Academy Award.
