Maggie Kilpatrick Devine b1870, Scotland; Iowa;MI

Michael Devine(Ireland) and Maggie Kilpatrick Devine(Scotland) immigrated to America through the port of NY in Dec 1891. They traveled with Maggie's Aunt Elizabeth Kilpatrick. Maggie's parents were Margaret and William and there are hundreds of couples by that name in Scotland in the 1800 so I'm lost.

After a few years in PA and OH, they settled in Hynes City, Iowa where Michael was a coal miner. It appears that Maggie Kilpatrick (born in W. Lothian) was a daughter of some wealth and I cannot figure out how she and Michael (a coal miner) came to be married. After Michael Devine's death, Maggie and her children moved to Detroit, MI

I have much information about their lives in America, but cannot find their parents.
