Please also be aware that Kilpatrick is also a Scottish name.Some Scottish Kilpatricks were transplanted to Ireland during the clearances, but may be found in Scotland earlier.Mine never left Scotland until the early 1900s...some of the family is still there.Mine came from Wemyss area...(Fife) and also Westruther/East Linton area (East Lothian) with stays in St. Andrews and Glasgow.There are two villages in Scotland bearing the name...Old Kilpatrick and New Kilpatrick.Makes it more of a challenge running searches!
