I have done a little research on Judson in connection with another project, I am not related. There are a few entries in this forum which mostly agree with what I found, and though several of you believe you are related, no one said how? The New York Times on Dec.7,1881 has a long obit, he d.12-4-1881, he was b.1-14-1836, he d.of a fever in Chile, probably in Valparaiso, he's bur.at West Point. The article mostly covers his military and diplomatic career, and does not name his wife or daughters. From other sources: Judson m.Alice Nailer in 1861; in 1866 he m.Luisa Valdivieso who was from an aristocratic Chilean (from Spain) family. There were 2 daughters; Julia Mercedes b.6 Nov.1867 and Laura Delfina b.24 Dec.1869. Laura had 4 children, I can't find any record of children for Alice or Julia so I would be interested if any of you can claim them. Laura Morgan's children were Harry, Consuela, Thelma and Gloria; Gloria was the mother of Gloria Vanderbilt, and her twin sister Thelma was the mistress of the Duke of Windsor before Wallis Simpson got him. There is 'gossip' that Judson was a 'womanizer' so possibly there were illegitimate children. Judson's parents are listed as Simon and Julia (Wickham) Kilpatrick of Deckertown NJ.
