Kupfrians Park/Escambia County 1900 census has a Kilpatrick Family: William age 47 born in Al, his father in SC and mother in Ga. With him is wife Mary 30; sons Henry b. 1890; Daniel J. born 1895; King, b. 1897 and daughters Hannah b 1893; Bessie G. born 1899. Would like to know if this is the son of Noah Kilpatrick. In the 1910 census for Okaloosa there is a William age 56 with wife Lizzie and sons Hosea, King, and Jesse. I do know that this is the son of Noah. Prior to 1900, in the 1880 census William is married to Sarah E. with sons James Wm.; Noah S. and Louis S. one daughter Lavinia E. And he is still in his father's household in 1870. In 1920, Susan Kilpatrick is a widow with Jesse-12;Leroy 9, Lucille 6 and King (now age 20). I know that this is the same William as these are my grandfathers brothers and sister; and half-brother. My grandfather, Allen Franklin and another sister, Safronnie, are in the household of a family in Walton County and are listed as adopted and orpaned in the 1900 and 1910 censuses. There is also a Janee Kilpatrick and daughter Virgie in the houehold of an Alford family in Walton County. My grandfather had a sister/half-sister named Virgie that I have heard spoken of. I would very much like to determine how many times William was married and how many children he had in total. He was also known as Bill Kilpatrick. I have relatives in Alabama Covington and Geneva Counties and in Florida Okaloosa, Walton Counties (which of course included Santa Rosa at one time). I know my grandfather had an uncle named Isaac, a cousin named Jasper. His grandfather Noah's sister married into the Ivey Cadenhead family as did some of his cousins. My grandfather Allen Frank married Beulan Elizabeth Bolding and they had the following children: William Fletcher who died in 1991 in Escambia County; Wilmer who died in Bay County; James Edward who died in Jackson County; Harold who lived in Hacoda Al and died their (I believe that is Covington County); Glen who lived and died in Niceville, Okalossa, County; I have an uncle Dewey who lives in Lubbock Texas, and Uncle Cecil in Niceville, Fl. and three aunts: Nettie Mae Mason, Aunt Blondell and Aunt Beulah Mae (not sure of their last names)
My dad (James) lived most of his life in Niceville and Crestview, Florida and then in Graceville Florida and Ashford, Alabama. While I have posted and been in touch with several researchers seeking the same info, I am hoping that this might jog someone's memory, or perhaps a new researcher can add light, no matter how dim, on this elusive man and his family. Thanks!
