Bert Kilmer Lewis Kilmer Nebraska Gleason

I'm searching for my grandfather's brother, Patrick Gleason (b: 1878 in Nevada).
In the 1925 Iowa State Census he is with the Mary Rinesmith family in Sioux City. I cannot find him in any records between 1885 and 1925 other than the 1885 Nebraska State Census and the above mentioned Iowa census. He was never married as far as I know.
According to letters to his sister in 1918 he had been around Sioux City from 1908.
But he was also in Winnebago, Nebraska about that time (1918) working for a Bert Kilmer. Bert had a son, Lewis Kilmer. In the 1920 and 1930 Nebraska State Census' Lewis had a boarder names EDWARD Gleason. Oddly enough this Edward was born in the same year and in the same state (Nevada) as my Patrick and I'm thinking Edward is really Patrick.
Maybe there's a Kilmer out there somewhere that might know.

I am seeking ANY records of him from 1900-1930. I believe he died after 1930. Consequently, a death record should be available for him but I don't know which state.
I am an amateur at this and am at a loss about this fellow. A death notice or record would certainly put closure to this.
