Not really sure if this helps you... probably just confuse you more..
I have a Martin Kilmartin in my family tree, I thought he was born in Ireland near Galway. Of course who knows, he was the 3rd husband to my G Grandmother Phoebe Ann Foster that was her maiden name, 1st marriage to harry Rogers or Rodgers, 2nd marriage to John Kidd( also Irish) he is the G Grandfather in my tree, where the children come from.

Phoebe died in 1942 Martin and Phoebe were married in Toronto in 1921 or so.
Martin passed on in the mid 1970's 1974 in the springtime
...........
if you think we may have a hit let me know.. I know it's a long shot..
