A friend found a couple of bibles today at an estate sale. One bible dates back to 1844 and the other, 1884. Both bibles are not in the best condition but are pretty good for being 120 and 165 years old. All pages are intact, just the covers and binding aren't in the best condition. Also the 1844 contains 2 pages of "family history" dating back to 1650-1850. The history contains full names with birth/death dates. The 1884 just has a letter in the front written to the original owner of the bible dated 1891. I'm not going to write the letter word for word, but it is a gift card saying how thankful they they were for everything, and in appreciation the bible is a gift. I would say both bibles have over 1000 pages each, with black and white pictures. The 1884 bible has colored maps near the last pages.
