Rosanna Killenbeck found in Grey County!

While web surfing, I discovered a
Gazetteer and Directory of the County of Grey for the Year 1865-66 at

In it, a "Wm. Killinbeg" was listed as living in Bentinck Township in 1865 (1 year BEFORE Rosanna's marriage to George McDonald)

Very suspicious last name, I thought.

So I went to the 1861 Grey county Census for Bentinck Township and sure enough, Rosanna was there as a child to William and Mary "Killingbeck".

Rosanna has older and younger siblings and the younger siblings match verbatim to the children of the 1870 Michingan Census!!! Proof that William and his family moved to Michigan between 1863 and 1870.

William "Killenbeck" and the older siblings were also found in the 1851 Census for Bentick Township and Rosanna was listed as a young child between 2-3 years old.

In addition, an older couple was living with them, a Senior William "Killenbeck" and his wife. This may be the parents of William and the grandparents of Rosanna!

email me for more info on this family.
