Ruth, thanks so much for writing. I have never known Miles' first name or anything about the Husband/Killen ancestors. I only had the family story that (Miles) was a close friend of Stephen Randolph (Frank) Sowell in the Civil War. Do you have anything on the child Louisa? She received support from her first cousin, Frank's first son, until his early death from a fall by horseback. Frank married again and the descendants of that marriage still live in the Bonham area. As of 2003, they had never heard of the Killen/Husband Sowell connection.
Frank lost his wife during the Civil War and his wife's family confiscated his inheritance, 1600 acres of land along the Red River for room and board of his son during the war.
I can probably get you enough Civil War information on Frank to tell you where Miles died. I remember a letter from my grandmother describing Frank's grief and departure from Melissa, riding away on horseback.
Anne
