I took your advice and checked dates before checking with ScotlandPeople and accidently stumbled over the correct name.. It turns out Mary Taylor was married to Alexander Mowet and a pedigree exist for both her and Alexander..Ony final question... if you please.. Alex. and Mary had a son Alexander Grey Mowat and the last name in the 1861 census lists GRAY, Alexander, age 78, lodger, pauper, formerly Bolemch, born Monquhitter, Aberdeenshire. What does lodger, pauper, and formerly Bolemch mean in British temonolgy?? I suspect the terms lodger and pauper is not what it is today. Once again thanks for putting me on the right road.. I of course still have the Kilgour name to sort out. Red Nights to you.. db
