James A Kilgore is mentioned in his grandfather's will as the son of Pheby Kilgore, daughter of John Bowland and Rebecca(Rebecky, Ricky). In Caldwell Co, KY Phebe/Pheby Bowland married Hiram Pinnell in 1816. This Phebe moved in MO with Hiram and had several children and is found in Bosque, TX in 1860 with an unmarried daughter, Ann E. Hiram supposedly dies in 1864 but I cannot locate him in the 1850 or 1860 census or any death records, etc. Were there TWO Phebe Bowlands in Caldwell Co, KY? THe Phebe that married Hiram was born about 1797 in SC. Several family trees show the Pinnell connection to John Bowland but no one has shown the Kilgore connection. I read the will. So does anyone know what is going on here?
