Ms. Ramsey: I am originally from Rockmart(near Vanwert)Polk County, Ga. I am new to "computer genealogy" so hope you get this. I currently live in Austin, TX. My grandmother was a Jenkins before she married. My GG grandfather is William Jenkins(1829-1869) who is the brother of Jane E Jenkins who married Samuel A.C. Kilgo. You are right that three Jenkins and their spouses moved to the McLennan and Bell counties in central Texas. I have done quite a bit of research on the Jenkins family and am happy to share anything you might not have. Samuel Kilgo was originally buried at the Speegleville Cemetery near Waco but was re buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens when they flooded the area to form Lake Waco. What I am interested in is when and where Jane Kilgo died. I can find no record of her after 1900. She was listed as a widow and living with son Jim since her husband died June 5, 1892. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and my e-mail is VChap39@msn.com
