I am in Lismore NSW Australia. My Great great Grandmother was Sarah Kilduff from Ferbane Co. Offaly her father was Roderick Kilduff and her elder son , my great grandfather, was Roderick Cruice always known as Rody. My Sarah Kilduff married Rowland Cruise round 1816 and had 14 or 15 children. Only two were sons. They lived in Clonagh townland near Killeigh about 7 miles from Tullamore. Rowland is buried in Killeigh Old RC Cemetery in 1859. Rody/Roderick Cruice came out to Australia in 1862 on the Erin-Go-Bragh. In 1863 his mother, Sarah Kilduff Cruise came out with two of her daughters. Sarah died in 1880 at age 81?? she is buried in Brisbane Qld. Rody died in 1911. Roderick is regarded as our family name, obviously a Kilduff name. In 1970's there were 11 Rodericks in our clan. Two of them known as Rody. I believe there is a Rody Kilduff in Ferbane Co. Offaly still. I would love to hear from anyone interested in this connection. Veronica Cruice Coughlan
