Hi Barbara
I am writing this message again as I am not sure if the first one went correctly.I will also send directly to your e-mail.
My name is Mandie Christie (nee Parckar - which was spelt Parker back in the 1800's).
I have been looking for 10 years for the birth cert, and the 1871, 1861, & 1851 census returns for my ggg grandfather Edward Parker but with no luck.
I believe that your Edward Kilby and my Edward Parker are the same person. My Edward was born in the late 1840's, married Elizabeth Tappin in 1865, and had a son called Edward in 1868 (amongst many others). On the marriage cert he is listed as Parker, and his father is Parker called William. His occupation through life was a plasterer. He lived his life in Hounslow, Middx.
Ancestry.co.uk matches my search for my Edward to a Mr Edward Kilby on the 1871 census. All details are matches, except the surname.Even the address is correct as I know Edward and Elizabeth had a son in Tivoli Road 2 weeks after the 1871 census.Tivoli Road is a small road.
Since sending my first e-mail I have found an interesting article in the Old Bailey about a Edward Kilby (alias Parker), who got in trouble in Hounslow in 1872. Surely it is the same guy?
I would LOVE to hear from you.
Mandie
