KILBURN, TRUDY
KILBURN, TRUDY (GERTRUDE FAITH) (NEE BROWN) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Trudy, our mother, wife, sister and friend. Trudy passed away on May 7th, 2009 in Kelowna after a hard fought battle with cancer - one she faced with courage, class, strength and grace. Trudy was the caring wife of Dan Kilburn and proud mother of daughters Holly Fischer and Heather Fischer. She will be forever remembered by her brother Joey Brown, sisters Penny Leikin and Cindy Brown, and their families. Trudy was a loving, devoted aunt and a wonderful friend. Born in Cudworth, Sask. on Dec. 19th, 1943, Trudy was an accomplished pianist and fabulous music teacher. Some of her favourite times were spent enjoying the beauty of nature, especially beside the water. Trudy had an adventurous spirit for travel. She maintained her sparkling sense of humour right to the end of her journey from earth. Trudy will be cherished for bringing joy to countless lives and making this world a brighter place. We would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Central Okanagan Hospice House who made Trudy’s final days peaceful and comfortable. No flowers or service at Trudy’s request. If desired, memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
