There is a large four-sided Nettleton family monument in the Durham, Middlesex Co., CT Town Center Cemetery. Each side features a large surname at the base. One is Nettleton. On another side is written KILBORN in large letters, and an incomplete inscription with the names Cora Nettleton and George F. Kilborn, but there are no death dates. It is known that Cora was born 05 Dec 1862. No birth date for George, only "age 38" and no death date.
Who was he, and why the incomplete inscription? Where did he come from, parents, etc.?
I'm researching the descendants of John C. Reed of Reed's Gap, Durham, CT and Cora and her descendants are included. Thanks for any information you may have.
