Kiker on "Neptune" ship 1753?
I am the great granddaughter of Media Erin Kiker>John Frankiln Kiker>Robert Postell Kiker>George Kiker>Charles Kiker>George Adam Kiker.
I have been trying to put together an ancestry album for my grandmother, and started doing some digging for pictures and things.I went to the Hopkins County Genealogical Society and found an entry stating the following:
"The Kikers were descended from Immagrant Johann Christian Keyser(also spelled Keiser, Kiher, and Kiser) who came to this country in September, 1753, aboard the ship "Neptune" out of Rotterdam to Philadelphia." I will include the whole article if anyone wants it!
I do not wish to spread misinformation, so I want to ask the experts, could there be any validity to this entry?Has it been investigated and denied?I just haven't ever seen this in any of the postings or on the website.
As a sidenote, I have a photo of Robert Postell Kiker and wife Elizabeth Johns. He lived to be very old, acted as grandfather to mygrandmother, still living. He went blind from a Civil War injury. I got his pension file. Willing to share!
