eff,
I would like to ask you more about your family:

“Looking for Information on an AUGUST KIICHLER (or KICHLER, or KEUCHLER). He
was born June 25, 1841, occupation of tailor, married to a CAROLINE, who was
born May 5, 1842. They had a daughter, PAULINE. He was committed to the
Logansport Asylum, Cass County, Indiana, due to longing for his
"fatherland". He died November 11, 1890. He is buried at Oakhill Cemetery,
Plymoth, Marshall County, Indiana. Caroline died in 1919. Any information
would be appreciated. jeffreygoetz@msn.com “

Was Caroline’s maiden name Wachter/Wachtler? And, did they have at least two
other daughters Ernestine who married a Radtke, and an Auguste who married a
Brady? Did daughter Pauline leave with an uncle’s family and head west?
Perhaps marrying a Karl Kiichler in Nebraska?

I believe this is the August and Caroline family I have a copy of an estate
record for and a citizen action for August. This looks to be the family I
have been “watching” for a number of years as possibly connected to my line.
Please reply
Thank you,
Vicky Helmer
