This is my first posting. I don't have extensive knowledge of the Kight family other than my immediate ancestors but I'll tell you what I know. My grandfather was Jessie Allen Kight of Oklahoma. The earliest that I know about he was living in Cordell, Oklahoma where my father, William Herschel Kight was born. He also lived in Westville, Oklahoma, Manchester, Oklahoma, and Weatherford, Oklahoma. He died in Clinton, Oklahoma in 1957 and is buried in the cemetery in Cordell along with his wife, Jesse Lee Cook Kight and numerous other family members. He had several brothers but I can only name Rachel (sp?) and Van. Van Kight settled in Lindsay, California and lived there until his death in the early 1960s. Van was married to my grandmother's sister, Artie Cook Kight, with whom I share a birthday. I am David Allen Kight, born November 30, 1946 in Anthony, Kansas; the family lived in Manchester, Oklahoma at the time and was in the grocery business. I have a brother, Raymond Joseph Kight, born December 20, 1949 in Medford Oregon. Both my brother and I live in Beaverton, Oregon at the present time. I will be happy to provide any additional information that might be helpful. I know my daughter has done some research so she might know more about generations prior to Jesse Allen Kight. I do know that some of the relatives were in Texas and Arkansas but my knowledge is sketchy as best and largely based on hearsay.
