I have a photograph of a young girl about 15 taken circa 1890, she would be born about 1875, name is Ellen Kiger. Photo was taken at Salem, NC. there are Salems in 7 counties in NC, but only two counties have Kigers: Forsyth County and Surry County. Forsyth has the most and only one Ellen. Found no Ellens in Surry. So this might be the one in Forsyth. That would make this Ellen Kiger b. 22 Feb 1875 Winston-Salem, NC - d. 1 May 1935 Lewisville, Forsyth Co, NC married 14 Mar 1889 [license issued] to Charles Pettus Byron Bruce Bailey b. 14 Jun 1865 Halifax VA. They had Lee Jackson Bailey b. 4 Apr 1895 Forsyth Co, NC - d. 17 Aug 1978 Greenville, NC. Lee married 20 Dec 1914 at Forsyth Co, NC to Carrie Louise Yarbrough b. 19 Jan 1897 and they had Nellie Bernice Bailey who married Ralph McKowen Compton and had issue still living.
