I have a problem with that 1800 Stokes County, NC census. I see someone that I cannot identify - and the name Kiger is involved. Here is what I see in the 1800 census 1800: Adam Kiger: this one and his wife were over 45 meaning he was born before 1755. (several children) Adam Giger: Age 26-45 meaning born between 1755 and 1774. This ties in as the Jr to Adam Sr. He had 2 boys under 10 and one girl under 10, wife's age was 16-26 . John Giger: He was over 45 meaning he was born between 1755 and 1774. Had 2 boys and 1 girl under 10. John Kiger: A second John the same age as the first. He and his wife were bthe same age - bu this one had 1 boy and 2 girls under 10. So who in the world is the second JOHN Kiger? My continuing concern is whether there really was a KIGER in addition to the Geiger/Giger - and if some of us have a KIGER ancestry? Notify Administrator about this message?
