I recently purchased a large group of pictures at a small auction house in So. Illinois close to the Indianna border. Some of the names on the back of the pictures are Martha G. Shepard nee Kifer, Aileen Kifer, Dale Lorraine Berquest, Belle Bennett and husband, R.W.Kifer, Alice Kifer, and Mrs. E. Kifer which is a picture of them in a horse and buggy. Many of the pictures have no name but many of them have studio locations such as Evansville Indianna, Chebanse Il, Tyler Mn, Omaha Nb, Seattle Wa, Chicago Il, Moline Il, Salina Ks, Brooklyn Ny, Henderson KY,
Kankakee Il, Princeton In, and the one that caught my attention the most after reading some of the posts on the Kifer site was Gonzales Texas. Some of these pictures are as new as the 1940's but many of them are 1890's and older. If anyone thinks this is their family members please contact me as they should be with family. Will gladly send you the pictures for what I paid for them which was $40.00 plus actual ups shipping cost ( they weigh approximately 7 lbs. I will also send the receipt showing that I paid the $40 for them. The reason I bought the pictures was so that a couple of antique dealers that were bidding on them would not get them as I knew what would happen to them, they would be split up and lost forever and did not think that was right. Hopefully these pictures make the journey home. Thank you. Gary Roper
