On Sunday, June 29th at noon at the home of the bride's parents, occurred the wedding of MR. CHARLES ROBERT, son of WELTHA LEWIS and WILLIAM LEONARD WOODALL, Derby, Iowa, and MISS ILA AGNES, daughter of ADDIE DAILEY and DAVID RICHARD DAVIS, of Van Wert. The single ring ceremony was employed and the service was performed by the Pastor of the Van Wert Methodist Church, Rev. James Walls. MISS ALICE WICK, of Van Wert, was bridesmaid and a brother of the groom, FRANCIS JAMES WOODALL, was best man. Little MISS VELMA ISABELL KIER, of Creston, the bride's niece, was the ring bearer.
The bride's mother served a sumptuous wedding dinner to which the following relatives and guests sat down with the wedding party; the fathers of the contracting parties, the bride's mother and sister, MRS. WALTER KIER and MARLAS LAVERE, of Creston; the groom's sisters, the MISSES LOVILLA B., LILY MAY and GENEVIEVE and brother, THOMAS WOODALL; MRS. WALLS and ROSALAND, and MASTER JOHN WAGNER.
The bride's father is en engineer on a line from Humeston to Clarinda. The bride is a well-known Van Wert young lady, a graduate of the High School Class of '24, member of the Methodist Church and leader of the music in the Sunday School. They will make their home in Van Wert. Their many friends extend to them congratulations and best wishes.
