My name is Shirley Helen Bolter-Baker and I am the 6th Generation of one of the "KIER" Families.
My Mother, is Rosamond (Rose) Alberta KIER-Bolter and she is the 5th Generation of her Kier Family.
I have a 455 Page Genealogy Book called "Andrew Kier Family History 1785 -- 1978".
Your Great Great Grandmother Barbara Kier (4) is listed in my Book on Page #250. She is married to John Ratchford. They had 2 Sons and their names are
#1 -- Andrew Ratchford (5)
#2 -- Matthias Ratchford (5)
Barbara is the 3rd Child of Andrew Kier (3) and Catherine Miller. Andrew was born on 1/25/1779 and died on 10/1/1836.
Catherine was born on 12/17/1770 and she died on 7/29/1864 in Ohio. They had 5 Children named
#1 -- William Kier (4) - married to Catherine Slack - they had 7 Children and are listed in my Book
#2 -- Matthias Kier (4) - 1st marriage to Jane Bell - they had 7 Children and they are listed in my Book
- 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Winkle Swartz - they had 5 Children and they are listed in my Book
#3 -- Your GG Grandmother - Barbara Kier (4) - married to John Ratchford - they had 2 Children and they are listed in my Book
#4 -- Mary Kier (4) - married to a "Prindal" - they had 2 Daughters and they are listed in my Book

I have a lot more information on all the Kier Families, there are 11 and 1/2 "SHEETS" of Kier Families listed in the Index of my Kier Book.
I would recommend that you email me at "Bolterbaker5330@aol.com and I will tell you how you can purchase a Copy of my Genealogy Book. I am "Quite Proud" of it and you will learn all about our Kier Ancestors all the way back from 1785, when our very 1st Ancestors, Andrew and Mary Mathis Kier came to Pennsylvannia, from the County of Antrim, in Northern Ireland.
Take care and God bless, Shirley
