Hello Anna:

I am writing to you in response to your 8/26/2000 - 8:11:14 Posting on our Kier Family Genealogy Forum.

I am a descendant of Andrew and Mary Mathis Kier. They are my Mother's 1st Ancestors who came from the County of Antrim, in Northern Ireland back in the year of 1785.

My Mother is Rosamond (Rose) Alberta Kier-Bolter and she is the 5th Generation of this Kier Family and I, Shirley Helen Bolter-Baker, am the 5th Generation.

First of all, I do not know of this Lonnie Van Zant that either Jean R. Barrett or Kathryn Kier have spoken of.

I do know that Gordon Kier started our Genealogy Book, which my 2nd Cousin Paul E. Kier finished before he passed away, here in Long Beach, California.

I have the 400+Page Genealogy Book, titled "The Andrew Kier Family History", that Gordon and Paul Kier made from the years of 1785 through 1978. I have had this Book for almost 12 years now. I am "very Proud" of it, also.

I have added my own Family Members in it, since I first got my Book from Paul and his Wife Della. They both have passed away.

Andrew and Catherine Miller Kier are in it, with their 5 Children, who were:
#1 -- William Kier (4) He had 6 Children
#2 -- Matthias Kier (4) He had 12 Children in total
and his 2nd Marriage as well
#3 -- Barbara Kier (4) She had 2 Sons
#4 -- Mary Kier (4) She had 2 Daughters
#5 -- James Kier (4) He had 9 Children
His Wife Mary re-married after his death to a William
McFadden

There is a lot more about all of these Familes, if either you or Jean Barrett or Kathry Kier would be interested to purchasing a Copy of my Genealogy Book, you may e-mail me at Bolterbaker5330@aol.com

You all would "great appreciate" getting a Copy of my Genealogy Book, I am "Quite Proud" of it.

I have found several of my relatives in the last 2 years and a few, just in the last month and a half.

Take care and God Bless, Shirley
