Hello, I'm looking for information on the Edward Kieffer family living in Macoupin County Illinois or Randolph County Illinois. Edward was married to his wife Mary in about 1875-1877.
In the 1880 census, I find Edward (b. abt 1856 in Illinois, both parents born in Germany) along with his wife Marry (b. abt 1859 in Illinois with both parents born in England) with their daughter Mary (b. abt 1878 in Illinois) in Staunton, Macoupin, Illinois with Edward listed as a Miner.
They had a little girl named Mary born Jan 17, 1878 ... Mary later married Henry Emig Apr 30, 1895 in Randolph County Illinois ...
In the 1900 Census in Brewerville, Randolph, Illinois; I find Henry & Mary Emig with two of her brothers living with her and her family. Steve (Stephen) Kieffer (b. Dec 1886) and Tony (Antonie) Kieffer (born Mar 1884). The other brother (Edward) is living in the Brewerville precinct as a Hired Man.
The father & mother (Edward & Mary) must have passed away before 1900 in Randolph County Illinois. I need to very this please.
My primary interest is in Antonie (Tony) Kieffer who married Hattie Florence Dickinson on Apr 30, 1907 in Brewerville, Randolph, Illinois. They later settle in Cass County and Sangamon County Illinois.
I've tracked the family moving forward, but I really need help moving backward in finding information about Edward b. abt 1856 in Illinois and Mary b. abt 1859 in Illinois. Not sure where/when they were married. Not sure about anything about their parents or orgination.
I sure would appreciate help on this.
