Do you have any information that would lead you to believe that a (Johann?) Peter Kieffer, born in May 1756, is the son of this Caspar Kieffer?

I have found a late-19th century of an Asa Everett Kieffer which claims that he (Asa) is the great-grandson of Caspar Kieffer who immigrated in 1748 with his brother Abraham.

This bio claims the following:
Casper, father of Peter (1756-1846)
Peter, father of Samuel (1793-1865)
Samuel, father of Asa (1848-?)
