Hello Christopher and thank you for the reply to my posting which I just came across today while browsing for Kiefer information. The Catherine Greineisen listed in your sixth generation was my grandmother. She married John Kiefer and they homesteaded in Saskatchewan in about 1902/03. While we have their marriage certificate, this is the first time we were able to find something on my grandmother's side of the family.
