Nicholas Kieffer abt 1794-aft 1870 married (1) Magdaliene Schifler abt 1823 France. Son of Nicholas Kiffer/Kieffer and Elisabeth Fual. Arrived in LA 1833. First purchased land in Winn Parish 1838. Four children: Pierre (Peter), Jean (John), Elisabeth and Margaret. Believed to have come from the Alsace Lorraine part of France. Does anyone recognize Nicholas, his wife, his parents.
