Mary Rogers asked about the William Kidd who was b ca 1734 in Middlesex Co and died ca 1807.Judy Galyon answered that this could be the William Kidd, son of Aaron Kidd.
Just to clarify for all:Despite similar dates of birth/death, this William of Middlesex is not the same William as the William Kidd, son of Aaron Kidd of Albemarle Co.The William Kidd of Middlesex Co (1734-1807) is most likely the same one who served in the Revolution from Middlesex Co that is listed in the DAR register of patriots.
I descend from the William Kidd who is son of Aaron of Albemarle; this William moved from Albemarle Co to Tazewell Co, VA, and then perhaps on to Kentucky at the very end of his life.He died sometime prior to 1820; his proven children are:Larkin, Elias, Elijah, Sherrod, Isabel, Frances (Waggoner), Deborah (Peery), and two whose names are not proven, but who may be John and Elizabeth (Young). There is no evidence from the records that this William, son of Aaron, ever lived in Middlesex Co.
