Our Kidd Y-DNA study has a special offer for a 37 marker YDNA test (plus a basic mtDNA test) through June 24, for 119 dollars. I am sending out this message to encourage those of you who have not joined our study--or sponsored an eligible male Kidd relative to join in--to take advantage of this while it is available over the next three weeks. We have about 50 members in the Kidd study now--but we need as many lines represented as we can include. Each new participant's results can add another piece to the puzzle. So if you haven't yet joined in, please let me know what questions you have, or if you need help signing up. Our study is housed at FamilyTreeDNA in Houston TX. There are other companies that offer YDNA testing, but I personally have been very pleased with the quality and customer service offered by this company over the past four years. Tests need to be ordered by June 24, 2009, and paid in full by June 30, 2009, in order to qualify for this offer. You can order online at wwww.familytreedna.com, or by phone (713) 868-1438 (central time zone). Or I will be glad to help you place your order if you need assistance. Just email me at skkidd@bellsouth.net or email Steven Perkins, our study administrator, at scperkins@gmail.com Terms of the special offer: • Y-DNA37+mtDNA for $119. (The regular project price is $248 – a reduction of more than 50%) • The promotion will begin on June 9, 2009 and will end on June 24, 2009 • Kits ordered must be paid in full by June 30, 2009 Many of us have family reunions coming up this summer. If you have a family reunion planned, it is a great opportunity to recruit a male relative for the study. Eligible candidates are males who are direct Kidd descendants, through the paternal line (father's father's father, and so forth). Women can always help out by identifying and/or sponsoring a Kidd brother, uncle, father, or male cousin. You can find updates about the study at www.familytreedna.com/public/Kidd Sandra Kidd Kidd Study YDNA co-administrator NOTE: We are still actively seeking a proven descendant of Thomas Kidd II, son of Thomas Kidd the immigrant, for the Kidd YDNA study. Members of this family lived in Middlesex and Essex Cos, VA. The study will sponsor a test for a proven descendant, or will help sponsor a test for a line that we suspect may tie into this family. Please email me for more details at skkidd@bellsouth.net if you think your line qualifies for this sponsorship. Notify Administrator about this message?
