good then he was possibly a telephone labourer born abt 1873 in Scotland per 1901 census . This might be where the Scotland birth came in. Not your grandfather but his father.
Family was living in Kent Tunbridge Wells in 1901. Florence was listed as being born about 1879 in Henstridge Somerset England.
two daughters listed Alice, and Gladys both born in Tunbridge Wells.
